Remedy for Negligence
My conscience said, "don't leave a hidden flaw."
The subject of this humble tale is prone
to leave mistakes concealed; unwritten law
says, " In your psyche, your neglect is known."
Although perfection may not be the outcome,
the effort to do right will pass the test.
To be at ease with what I've brought about, Chum,
the project's done; I've given it my best.
Go back; undo, redo the thing correctly;
uncover the mistake I know was made.
Though seeming endless, when attacked directly,
a job done rightly leaves one amply paid.
