Credit the Originator

Idea not so safely shared with fellows:
men like the concept's dawn to be their own.
The other side of this, my viewpoint mellows;
my counter thought I can enjoy alone.

It may be I can have a thought for sharing,
and it can be received quite graciously,
should wisdom come to override my daring,
and credit his originality.

I lie awake to think of his ideas,
and how I can assist these plans to fruit.
Although I know I'm not as smart as he is,
some action may be prompted, being cute.
