All Around Us
Amidst all earthly stimuli,
the active working of our mind,
what's brought receptive ear and eye,
our maker seek, His will to find.
The day is new, each one unique
in guided opportunity.
May we hear, and may we speak,
the truth we can receive and see.
The beauty far beyond our art,
mysteries hidden, flowing forth,
revealed in burst to mind and heart,
wood orchid, snowy glint of north.
In gratitude, may we step out,
tallying blessings everywhere;
put into action the inner shout,
apply it to produce or share.
As to the new day we commit,
the labor, business, and art,
worship, love, good will, and wit,
may we sense the Father's heart.
