Trust the Great Planner
Oh, look around, the rose-toned sky, inciting thunder,
the blackbird warily pursues a creeping prey.
Large and small, the world is greeting us with wonder,
With open eyes and minds, we'll meet a brand new day.
Oh, Father God, what surprises do You hold out for us,
that we may seize each hour and live it to its full?
Will it be the nitty-gritty or grand chorus,
revealed as we step forth, feel life's compelling pull.
Not allowing for our former preset expectations,
to cancel the surprises on horizon's rim,
But, ready to live out the day's formation,
trusting the unfolding of the time to Him.
