Seasonal Time Adjustments
When Daylight Saving Time commenced,
I set my clock ahead,
No embarrassment I sensed
from staying too long in bed.
The extra time in evening,
lets me get the yard work done.
The longer hours leisure bring,
cook-outs and family fun.
I've licked, I thought, deficiencies,
to which I'm prone to bow.
I've gained in my efficiency;
the week's in order now.
So, Sunday, when I go to church,
umbrella fending showers.
the service is closing, what a lurch;
they've changed to summer hours.
