Halfway Up or Down

It is when we're halfway up, we're neither up nor down;
when we're halfway there, it just may be the time,
although in our confusion, we seem nowhere around,
how to make our way, advance our upward climb.

Our resources seem lacking, a way to navigate,
momentum lost by faltering confidence
Our hearts may be reminded that we have an Advocate,
Who will clear the way, direct, give knack and sense.

Uncertain in our journey, though the outset be,
no expertise our unskilled state to crown
strengthened by the Almighty Father's hand, we'll see
halfway up is far and away past halfway down.
