Gustatory Gusto

On anchovies and artichoke,
he supped with glorious glee.
Gustatory gratitude he spoke,
so good to hear and see.

We tell of it with tongue in cheek,
though, mind me, it's no joke
for one must seriously speak
of the auspicious artichoke.

So, dine he did with due delight;
it highly hit the spot.
Delicious dessert, deemed just right,
Apple, almonds, apricot.
