Fantasy Fulfilled

If ever you walked in fantasy,
you notice somehow in the view.
though seeing things that cannot be,
the subject may be you.

The hero placed in our fantasy,
setting the languished victim free,
the likelihood of what can be,
Can it be you or me?

The greenish gremlin, jealousy,
resides in other hearts.
What in our daydreams seems to be,
may backfire boomerang darts.

Sad tendency to find the fault,
where goodness, too, may well preside,
suggests why deep within a vault.
defended, lies a stone of pride.

So, while wool-gathering, perhaps,
small subject of this fantasy,.
defensiveness may tend to lapse,
and set the bound one free.
